Germany loses

Well we came to Munich for the game and to get rowdy, unfortunately these Germans were pretty low key this weekend it seemed, or we were just in the wrong areas. Last night was the game and that was rowdy, we went to a public viewing, people were drunken and loud. It was awesome!! Until they lost which really sucked, although my original team was Spain so it was kind of cool. Anyways after that we wandered around trying to get to the Haufbrahos and never made it. Still had a good time. And the night before was really fun too. Went out with our hosts until 3 am.

Brian, the foosball plazers are sooooo insane here. they do actual soccer moves with the guys, it was nuts. So Tony was in a trance watching them and he is happy he finally got his liter of beer. off to barcelona!

Wow

Okay what an intense couple of days. Switzerland is the shit, absolutely amazing and gorgeous and awesome.Today we hiked from Lauterbrunnen, google that shit (images), to Grindelwald , about 8 hours of hiking up 2400 feet and back down, but absolutely worth it. We saw the most amazing scenic views, the biggest pig and the friendliest cows, cows that had cow bells! Any ways great pics.
After being haggard in Grindelwald while we ate ravs out of the can, barefoot in the street (8 hrs will do that) we decided to not hike tomorrow and instead takes Tim's awesome advice and get to either Spain or Germany by SUnday, as they are the final contenders in the Euro 2008 (as big as World Cup). So we got a train to Munich tomorrow and are going to get wild and crazy with the locals, yay soccer hooligans we finally got! Yup then off to Barcelona on Monday night. Wooohoo.
We both are having crazy dreams about back home, and really weird we are having synced dreams with each other, yup we now dream the same things. Wonder what we'll be like in 50 more days.
Becca, Happy flipping Birthday!!! and Michelle Happy 21st. and obviously we must wish Travis a wonderful birthday as well :) sorry we missed them all.
Ang and Tim: good luck next few weeks!!! Checking for updates as much as possible.
K off to Germany! might be sleeping in train station tonight

fete de la music

ya so its Tonys first actual post and its on a French keyboard so there may be some typos. we got into Paris and went to our host place who happened to be a big time carny folk. He was really cool and there were like five shirtless guys in the room and they were talking about the brazilans who got drunk the night before and walked to the eiffel tower and slept underneath it. already i thought this was gonna be an adventure. they said that saturday was going to be a huge party celebrating summer solstice and there will be lots of great music.little did we know the adventure in front of us. we went to this park right by notre dame which was gorgeous. these guys had all sorts of weird things to play with juggling things and other weird things. stayed there for a while and there were like dancers that were busting out the weirdest moves, travis i totally thought of you, he was doing backflips and handstands like that guy on youtube. then we started to go walk around and watch the bands and it was so loud the had percussion bands right next to cheesey american 70s cover bands. we started with the beers but i have to compalain about the beer in france there are like two brands and the expensive and never enough. but a small price to pay for the things to see in the country. so kel me and about six other couch surfers go sit by the riveria next to notre dame and start talking and drinking and doing juggling and magic tricks, pretty inteesting crowd, they were very impressed with my juggling, and kel the weirdo she is busted out a sweet magic trick that everybody loved and blew my mind. i met this guy named charlie thats what i called him but he had a very french name. he was into outdoor sports and liftin and boozin so we instantly got along. we got the biggest kick out of yelling FUCK OFF in a french accient to the tour boats going by. after four or five hours of that we got bored and me kel and charlie went to go for adventures; when we went up to the main street we were amazed to see that the already busy street had tripled. so i grabed kel and went for it. there was so much going on. caos charlie had a great time we went into gas station and tried to buy more beer but i guess they were tring to close and we litterally grabing me and making me check out when i was not ready.
peeing in this city is crazy to i already had to pee in an ally once but kel would not go for it; so you have to basically run into these shops not listining to no one and find it e got kicked out of a couple. after going through the crowed streets for a couple of hours we went back to ever one eles where we saw that each side of the river had developed a great sense of pride for there side and we yelling at the other side and throwing bottles at the other one. the we saw two naked bodies on the other side and they jumped in that started something and soon everyone was doing it, our host told me that the water was very dirty and it would be a bad idea for us to do it. after that we realized it was about four and being the responsible people we are we decided to go home and kel charlie and i left everyone and went on a new adventure.
we got on one subway and parted ways with charlie -who told me that he was going to design the t shirt for my next fight (he is a graphic designer) me and kel soon realized that there were no more trains and had to ind anther way. after about twenty min of hailing trying to get a cab we decided to walk it whic turned out to be about 3 miles. by the time we got home the sun was coming up and it was definitlly time for bed.
today was interesting all we accomplised was laundry, in paris france i know. but we said our goodbyes to everyone and went to the train station but the train was full so we will take the train to switzerland tomorrow; so we get one more day to check out some cool tourist traps tomorrow we hit the king of frances castle. expensive but worth it. hope all is well with everyone thanks for that link dad that is gonna be really good; i think that means you should get me a new x box so i can play it eh.

City of love... and it really is!

k this keyboard is annoying so im done trying to type with good grammar; youll get the gist.
So we made it to Paris. Caen (normandy) was a good time. our host was so so friendly and nice. We saw lots; War museum which was so big. Then went to the Omaha Beach and walked in water and the german bunkers; crazy stuff!! the cemetary was also really intense; so insane all the deaths that took place there. the museum thing of it was interesting to see all the personal sides of the people who partook in it.

Last night in Caen we went out for student night and had quite few drinks with the locqls: The girls went crazy over tony; flocked to him because he was american. We made a lot of friends that night. Including two texans that pqrtied with us because they missed their train back to paris.

Paris is a cool city; besides all the smoke and occasional smells. subway is awesome and helpful: people are so funny here; we went to a park and there were so many couples making out and completely unaware of the rest of the world: including this man and woman who had to be at least fifty totally gettin it on in the park: that was a fun kick:

We went to the louvre for free and holy crap that thing is soooo big, so big. We just tried to focus on all the stuff wee wanted to see; Becca tons of Ancient Egypt stuff; you would have loved it; i did! Then Greek stuff too. we then walked along champs elysees to arc de triomphe. Then walked to the eifeel tower; passing by so ,uch cool stuff. We walked up the eifeel tower, that was a work out for sure.

Today were headed to Notre dam to hang out in the park all day because its the day of music in paris. anyone that can play an instrument comes to the streets and plays; drinks and be merry. the place we are stayin at has like 5 pther surfers; Austria; mexico city, us, paris; love all the different cultures in this one little flat. We will go to the park with them today so should be a fun crazy time!!!

Have to go now!!

London,Bath,Cambridge.

Well we are still doing good! Actually feel like we are back home, at an air force base near Cambridge with Tony's rad friend Lyndsay. We went to a grocery store here and paid american, that was nice!

To recap the past few days. Tuesday was doing things around London again. We went to St. Paul's Cathedral for the eucharist there. That was neat and since we went for communion it was free, handy. Then we headed over to Tower of London, which is freaking rad! the Beefeater guys are so hilarious and entertaining. I loved all the little stories and stuff. After that we walked across Tower Bridge while Tony sang London Bridges Falling Down. Good to know he is still singing huh? Some days we aren't singing, some days we are crabby and tired but still very happy and feel lucky. He is playing Grand Theft Auto right now so he is happy.

Well we wandered around London some more that day, tried to see a Shakespeare play but they were all sold out. Opted for Panini's at this little food vendor at Gabriel's Wharf.

Yesterday (June 11th) we headed to Salisbury, a very cute little town with a big cathedral that was not bombed during WWII because apparently the troops used it as a landmark to figure out where they were. neat huh. From there we took a bus ride to Stonehenge and did the audio tour thing there. IT was pretty gnarly. Those rocks are intense and tricky with all the secrets about it. After that we headed to Bath where we hung out all day wandering around watching bums sing "Deh oh! HE's a deh oh....(beetlejuice song). We stooped low enough to take fries off this plate that these people left untouched, how lucky we were! Two seconds later the seagulls went for the rest of it, we were just in time!

Well then we went and met up with our host for the night who is freaking rad! His name is Jensen. He took us up to his pad, which was freaking awesome! Such a gorgeous view of the city. WE def owe them lots. Cup also gave us a freaking phone this morning! How crazy is that? Yup but awesome. But uh sorry we can't use it to call home, we need it for calling our hosts in Europe. But it's sweet. We went out partying last night with them in this little pub in Bath, Tony even drank a few glasses of wine, after some beers of course.

Anyways, now we are spending the day hanging out with Lyndsay in her nice house with her kick ass Malmute Dog and rad little cat. We just made some stir fry, yum!

We're Alive!

Well first day is over and done, but what a fun and weird day! The plan of staying up all night did not helps us sleep on the plane, so we were in a zombie like state for most of the day, till we took an hour nap at St. Jame's Park and then Hyde Park with I swear all of London. We lucked out! Yesterday was hottest day of the year, apparently even hotter than Spain, so everyone in London was laying out in the parks. Not sure if they do this on normal days, but people taking naps during their lunch break. Anyways...
Dad we went and saw Westminster Abbey and wow. Was really really cool. So insane all the intricate details, every little bit had a face or intense design. Was really cool learning about all who was buried there. We def were wishing we were more knowledgeable about this stuff though. Then we checked out Buckingham Palace, Big Ben- it really is freakin' big. We got of the tube and bam! there it is. So our first day was very fun, rode the tube all day. Went to Harrods, did not buy anything though!
We are staying at the Journey's Smoking Barrels Hostel, fairly close to town, 15 pounds each for two nights, pretty good! Includes breakfast and we can ditch our bags here for the day.

So Tony is extremely happy, we found a gym for him to check out and go train at, a MMA (UFC) gym. And it is def something straight out of Rocky, it's in this random little town that we wandered through till pointed in the right direction. As you are strolling up there are multiple BMW cars, street bikes, and anything you would consider a baller car with Tap Out stickers on, so we knew it must be close. Come around this corner/alley thing and have about 40-50 shirtless guys in this hanger like warehouse just doing their thing. Tony was in love. We stayed there for a few hours, he rolled, I hung out. Everyone was super super friendly and helpful. Hopefully Tony will write something about it but all I know is he says it was the shittiest equipment he's seen but amazing training, these guys were legit and good. I'll leave the rest of that for him to tell you about. He is still in bed because he woke up at 6am for some random reason and decided to go for a run....

Well that was our first day. More to come! Thanks for whoever put the link to the Tv spot of Tony's fight, he's going to be so excited! Miss you all! Mom give Roxi a kiss for me. Thursday we'll be staying with Tony's friend so if she let's me I'll try to upload pics of our first few days.
Tim, any good suggestions of where I should upload my pics too for safety reasons? I'm scared my camera might get stolen or I'll run out of memory space so I want to try to get pics on a website as much as I can. Shutterfly? or just do Photobucket? I need somewhere I can order prints from because getting them back off the website is not good, always crappy pics. So I'll just order prints and CDs from that website in case it happens. Which it better not! Thanks!

Packing

Well I have my bag packed! (And so does Tony!) I went back and forth between which shirts are my favorite but most efficient; everything has to match with everything else.

I believe clothes wise this is what I took (yes I know I should remember since I just did it this morning but it's been a hectic AND fun day! thanks lunch and dinner dates.)

If you aren't interested in what I packed skip ahead but I want this documented for my knowledge at the end of my travels, see what I come home with and what I ditched, or lost along the way.

So two shorts, two pants...one that changes into capris, two sundresses, one flowy skirt, about 4 tank tops, 2 t-shirts, my white DC jacket, a long sleeve shirt, my red, and yes, hole-y Nikita sweatshirt, one long underwear, 5 socks, 2 bras, 2 sports bras, 1 swimsuit, and about 7 pairs of underwear.

Then the accessories, which do add up! Converters, and cards, cameras and first aid kits -let's hope never to be used which probably isn't possible with KT. Hell after Saturday night's adventures: fights, bars, Tony, we may need it before we leave.

Anyways, I feel like the trip begins tomorrow with my sister's baby shower, which by the way Ang saw movie tonight where someone gave birth and had friends/family come visit in hospital, almost teared up to think that I really am going to miss you, Carter and Tim. I'm really sorry I can't be there to hold your hand, laugh and cry, and see my first nephew with you two. But you'll do great! And you better, uh...email me? Immediately.
Then were off to the fights where Tony will do great. So wish us luck, it's almost here!

FYI: we still haven't figured out where we are staying our first few nights, oh boy, the adventure begins...
